Advocacy Day 2010 will take place at the Prairie Capital Convention Center on Wednesday  February 24th in Springfield Illinois. We expect an attendance of over 725 social workers and students coming from across the state to attend a 1/2 day of educational seminars on lobbying in the state of Illinois. 2.5 CEUs available.

Advocacy Day Event Fee: $15.00* ($13.00 if you register online) -
Fee will increase $5.00 after February 5th, 2010, 2.5 CEUs available.

Join NASW IL for a night of networking! Learn the basics of networking in any given situation (social, business, etc.) and then learn how to apply it. This is a great opportunity for students, unemployed individuals, and those trying to advance their career as well as those who just want to meet new people! Immediately following the workshop, you will have a chance to network with your fellow social work peers.

The NASW IL Chapter is proud to announce its first book club selection—Push: A Novel by Sapphire. We will be discussion the book in April following Social Work Month. Read the book and come discuss it with other social work colleagues. Drinks and snacks will be provided. The book club discussion is free to all who attend. One CEU credit will be offered to those who are interested ($10).
